・Sumiyoshi-Taisha: A historic shrine, Sumiyoshi-Taisha, is the pride of Osaka. It is the head office of one of the more than 2,300 Sumiyoshi-Taisha shrines in Japan, and all four shrine buildings are national treasures. Spend a calming moment in the sacred and solemn atmosphere of the shrine grounds.
・Shitennoji Temple: This temple has a history of 1,400 years. It was built after the arrival of Buddhism in Japan and is the oldest architectural style in Japan.
You can climb the five-story pagoda, which is quite a rare experience in Japan.
・Osaka Museum of History: A museum of history which makes you feel you are a part of history. It has a floor reproducing the great council hall of “Naniwanomiya palace”, a floor which takes you on a journey throughout the city of canals: Osaka in the medieval and modern era, and many more interesting floors!
・MIRAIZA OSAKA-JO: A facility that was reopened in 2017 as a spot with restaurants and shops! It was originally built in 1931 and used as the Osaka City Museum. It is located in front of the castle tower and popular as a place to buy souvenirs and take a rest.
・Osaka Castle: This magnificent castle has been selected as one of the three most famous castles in Japan. The castle is now used as a museum where you can learn about armor and kimonos from the time of its construction. The top floor of the tower is an observation deck where you can enjoy the view of the city of Osaka.
