You will first visit the popular hall of the great Buddha which is a national treasure and world cultural heritage. “Nigatsu-do” which is located behind Todai-ji temple is not so popular, but the view of the whole city from there is superb!
After hiking through a forest with wild deer and visiting a famous Japanese sword shop, we will get to “Kasuga taisha”. The three thousand bamboo lamps there is beyond description!

・Todai-ji temple: A famous temple that has the great Buddha sitting on one of the biggest wooden building in the world! There are also many other cultural properties on the premise. Not only national properties but also deer that you will like!
・Azekuraya: A traditional tea house next to the Todai-ji temple. Try some traditional meal and sweets and get ready for the rest of the tour!
・Nigatu-do: A Buddhist hall where you can have the panoramic view of the city.
・Kiku Ichimonjyu Shiroukanenaga: A knife shop started as a swordsmith in Kamakura period(1185-1333). There are many beautiful Japanese swords that you will like!
・Kasuga-taisha Honden (Kasuga Ground Shrine): It is the Grand Head Shrine of the approximately 1,000 “Kasuga-jinja” shrines throughout Japan. The view of the orderly placed three thousand bamboo lamps is very beautiful!
・Meoto Daikokusha: The only temple that worships the god of a married couple in Japan. It is popular as a spiritual spot for love. Don’t miss the rare fortune telling here!
・Please come in comfortable clothing, as this tour involves a lot of walking.
