People in Fushimi has been making sake for a few hundreds of years and it has several famous brands. If you like sake, it is definitely Fushimi that you have to visit! You will first drink pure water, the essential ingredient for sake, on this tour and then visit a sake brewery where you can watch and learn about the process of sake making. There is also a café renovated from a sake brewery where you can compare the taste of several sakes! Since Fushimi is also famous for its history, you will also visit spots to learn about it. ・Gokonomiya Shrine: The reason why Fushimi is famous for its high-quality sake is the quality of water. You will drink pure water from a spring here and start your tour. ・Fushimi-Kan (Tourist Information Center): You can try 17 different kinds of sakes here although it is a tourist information center! Be careful not to drink too much here since your tour has just started! ・Gekkeikan Okura Sake Museum: A museum of one of the most famous sakes brand in Japan. You won't be able to find a person who hasn’t heard about the brand “Gekkeikan”. They exhibit important sake making goods among 6,120 of them left in the brewery. ・Fushimi Jikkoku-bune: Let's learn about the history of Fushimi on a small boat in a river. Enjoy the weeping willows on the costs while sobering up with the breeze and get ready for the coming spots! ・Fushimi Yume Hyakusyu Café: They sell more than a hundred different kinds of sakes from Fushimi! They also serve cocktails and beers base on sake and sweets! ・Teradaya: The place where one of the most popular people in Japanese history: Ryoma Sakamoto was attacked. You will feel the history, with its old building! ・Kizakura Kappa Country: “Kizakura” is also a very famous sake brand in Japan. On this spot, they make beer from the high-quality water of Fushimi. It would be a perfect spot for those who love sake and adore beer! ・Fushimi Sake Village: You will end your tour here, comparing the taste of all of the 17 sake brands that have breweries in Fushimi.

Notes

・Please come in comfortable clothing, as this tour involves a lot of walking.
・This tour includes a lunch/dinner venue.
・On Mondays "Fushimi Yume Hyakushu Cafe" is closed and during the winter(December~March) "Fushimi Jikkoku-bune" is not available. If any of the scheduled places are closed on the day you visit, your tour guide will take you to an alternative location.
・Many of the spots serve alcohol. Children can also participate in this tour, but please note that drinking is only allowed for persons over 20.
