A Philosophy-themed park and temple with a dozen buddhas.
Japan has a long history of self-reflection, an old culture represented in zazen and meditation. On this tour you can learn about this buddhist side of Japan, in the town Araiyakushi. The fist place you will visit on this tour is Tetsugakudo Park, an unusually themed park which was designed to visualize the world of philosophy. Enjoy a quiet walk around this park, rich in nature, with ponds, hills, small buildings and statues. You will then visit the 500 year-old Araiyakushi Temple along with the old town that it overlooks. The colourful buddhas at the temple were recently restored and are a beautiful sight to see.
