In 1600, the battle of Sekigahara, known to all Japanese, occurred in Sekigahara-Cho, Gifu Prefecture today.
This battle marks the end of the Sengoku era, and the winner, Ieyasu Tokugawa, will unify the whole country, creating a peaceful era without war.
Therefore, it was a very important battle, called "World Battle".
This plan traces the battlefield around Sekigahara.
First, at the Sekigahara History and Museum, you can learn about the history of the battle through exhibits and commentary.
Then rent an armor and go to the place where General Mitsunari Ishida and General Ieyasu Tokugawa have set up!
Also, visit the post town where the cityscape after the battle of Sekigahara remains.

・Sekigahara Town History & Folklore Museum: The battle of Sekigahara is very important in Japanese history. It is still often used as a theme for historical dramas, movies, and games. Here, you can learn more about the battle of Sekigahara through exhibits of used weapons and realistic explanations by large dioramas.
・Ieyasu Tokugawa's last battlefield position: This is where Ieyasu Tokugawa, the General of the Eastern Army, finally set up his position. One kilometer from here is the military of the Western Army, Mitsunari Ishida. Try walking and experience the realism that generals were fighting very close.
・Sasaoyama Koryukan: Let's rent a samurai armor here. You can experience what costumes the samurai wore during the battle. Try your favorite armor. You can also walk around the town with your costumes.
・Ishida Mitsunari's last battlefield position: This is the last position of the Western Army general, Mitsunari Ishida. The base set up on the mountain was in a place where you could overlook the overall war situation. You can enjoy the view overlooking the whole Sekigahara. It is said that Mitsushige Ishida took advantage in terms of location and in fact the situation at the beginning of the battle was dominated by the Western army.
・ Kashiwara Inn History Museum: The battle of Sekigahara was won by the Eastern Army, and Ieyasu Tokugawa became the top general all over Japan. At the time, he have developed a transportation network and formed towns with inns in each area. One of which is Kashiwara Inn, a station next to Sekigahara. You can get to know Japan after the battle of Sekigahara.
・ Kameya Sakyo Shoten: This is a moxibustion shop that has been in operation for over 350 years. The oldest building in this area is such an impressive. they manufacture and sell folk remedies for oriental medicine called "Mogusa".

・Lunch (Dinner) spot does not include in this tour, but you can take a break whenever you want
・"Kameya Sakyo Shop" will be closed on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays. Your tour guide will take you to the alternative spot in case the other spots are also closed.
・In case of using a wheelchair, the spot "Mitsunari Ishida XXX" will be skipped as it is unable to access by the wheelchair.
・You need 2,160JPY to experience wearing samurai armor.
