Are you one who likes to try local delicacies on your trip? We have the perfect solution: a tour packed with Sendai's delicious food!
Sweet lovers can enjoy zunda milkshakes made with a lightly sweet edamame paste, different kinds of tea-flavored ice cream, and fruit gelato.
Those not fond of sweets can try bamboo leaf-shaped ""Kamaboko"" made of fish paste. For a happy stomach, why not try "Mapo Yakisoba", Chinese-style noodles.
You will also visit a local market selling fresh seafood, fruit, seafood rice bowls and deli goods, which you can eat at the market.
We also have a list of recommended shops that will not be covered in the tour. We highly suggest dropping in during your visit!

・Zunda Saryo Sendai Station Zunda Shake Express: A must-try sweet milkshake in Sendai! The shake uses plenty of delicious edamame.
・Sendai Asaichi shotengai: There is everything - seafood, vegetables and deli goods, at this morning market in front of Sendai station. Enjoy shopping in this lively atmosphere. You can also eat cuisine using fresh ingredients.
・ TOHOKU Standard Market: A shop with a full collection of Tohoku region and Sendai city's produce and desserts that you will rarely find at other locations! How about buying souvenirs at this shop?
・Abekamabokoten Honten: A long-established store that first coined the name "Sasakamaboko" or "Bamboo Kamaboko" for Sendai's famous fish paste which is shaped like a bamboo leaf. Freshly baked Kamaboko is crispy outside and fluffy inside. You will not be able to stop eating once you try it! You can experience baking "Bamboo Kamaboko" yourself. Let's try baking our own "Sasakamaboko".
・Ocha no Igeta Ichibancho Honten: We recommend trying the sweets with excellent aroma such as zunda, matcha, and hojicha! We also recommend purchasing green tea and hojicha souvenirs to take back.
・Antique Show: A multi-brand shop carrying goods with fancy designs as well as original items incorporating Tohoku region's traditional art. Take a look at the store's original "Beko"! If you are not sure what "Beko" is, it is time for us to go check out the items!
・GELATI BRIO: A gelato shop that is popular enough to wait in line for. They have regular flavors such as milk and green tea, as well as 3~5 seasonal flavors. The colorful storefront showcase will make your hungry. Which flavor will you choose?
・SS30 Building Observation Deck: On the top floor, you will find an observatory where you can look over Sendai. Believe it or not, it is FREE! You can make the beautiful night view of Sendai all yours♪
・Ekimae Taiyoro (Ekimae meaning in front of a station): A shop where you can eat the local speciality, Mapo Yakisoba. Enjoy the atmosphere of a Japanese "Chinese restaurant". If you want to try beef tongue or other gourmet dishes, otomo guide will introduce you to other restaurants.

・This tour includes a lunch/dinner venue.
・This is a walk-and-eat tour of Japanese delicious food. If you have any food allergies please let us know in advance.
・"GELATI BRIO" is closed on Mondays, "Antique Show" on Thursdays and "Ekimae Taiyoro" on Sundays. If any of the scheduled places are closed on the day you visit, your tour guide will take you to an alternate location.
