・Shukkeien Garden: A large Japanese garden located near Hiroshima station. You can feed the colorful kois (carps), and take photos with the beautiful greenery and water in the background. There is no rush, enjoy walking around the garden.
・Hiroshima Prefectural Art Museum: A museum next to Shukkeien. After you have enjoyed the art of nature, it is time to enjoy artwork. They have arts with Japanese-style themes which vary depending on the exhibitions.
・Hiroshima Castle: The castles within Hiroshima city were destroyed by the atomic bomb and were rebuilt. You can see how the castle used to look like before, and also climb the tower. They also have displays showing Bushi culture.
・Okonomiyaki Restaurant ”Miyabi”: Okonomiyaki is one of the Hiroshima's soul foods! They will cook your dish on the iron plate in front of you, so enjoythe process!
・Hiroshima Peace Memorial: The symbolic location of the atomic bomb, also known as the Atomic Bomb Dome. The atomic bomb exploded almost directly overhead of this building leaving the city in disaster, and the memorial stands here as a reminder of this sad incident. It is a popular site for visitors.
・Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum: A large museum with many documents and explanations that will educate you about war and atomic bombs. The easy to understand displays demonstrate the cruelty of war and the importance of peace.
・Ujina lighthouse: It will take about 20 min by train from Hiroshima city to Hiroshima Port. Let's walk along the ocean of Ujina up to the cape at the tip of the island where you can look at the beautiful sea.
・Sky lounge Top of HIROSHIMA: A bar located at the top floor of the Grand Prince Hotel Hiroshima where you can look over Hiroshima city. This venue is not known as a sightseeing spot and only a select number of people know about and come to see the gorgeous view. Reflect on your day roaming around Hiroshima.
