Director Makoto Shinkai's recent movie "Your Name." became a hot topic all over the world in 2016 for its beautiful pictures and touching storyline, recieving 13 awards inside and oitside of Japan. The locations that appear in the movie take inspiration from places all over Japan, but you can visit a number of them in the Yotsuya and Shinanomachi area in Tokyo. Your otomo tour guide will remind you the story of "Your Name." as you walk around this area, and show you the best angles to take pictures or be photographed at each movie location, so that they resemble the scenes from the movie. You will also be introduced to good places to eat in the area!

Yotsuya Station, Akasaka Exit: Your tour to visit the spots in the movie “Your Name” starts here! This is the spot where the main character met up with his longing person. Your guide will tell you the spot where you can have the same angle as in the movie!
Taiyaki Wakaba: This is not a spot shown up in the movie, but it is worth stopping by. This spot is a “Taiyaki” shop with a long history in Yotsuya. “Taiyaki” is a fish-shaped cake with filling inside. The bean paste filling is not too sweet and it is a must to try it! They will serve you freshly baked one if you by it over the counter on the street!
The postbox on the forked road by Hozoji Temple: This is the path where the main characters ran in search of each other in the movie. The movie is gradually turning in to its climax from this scene!
Tofukuin Hill: This spot shows up in the next scene after the scene of the path you visited earlier on this tour. This is the slope where the two main characters couldn’t meet up even though they were searching near each other. You can take a photo from the same angle as the movie!
Suga Shrine: The stone stare which is used in the poster and key visual. It is so famous that even those who haven’t seen the movie knows this spot! There are still many fans visiting this spot every day.
In front of Shinanomachi Station (Docomo Tower): Do you remember the structure like a tower showed up in the opening cut of the movie? This is a structure which has showed up many times in other movies of Shinkai Makoto.
The pedestrian bridge in front of Shinanomachi Station: This is the footbridge that was described in the scene which the main character and his longing person dating. You will have a good view from it!
The avenue of ginkgo biloba trees in front of Meiji Jingu Gaien: A tree-lined avenue with ginkgo trees. In autumn, the leaves turn to gold which is very beautiful and it is also a spot with history related to the Japanese emperor. It is used as a commuting road in the movie.
The National Art Center, Tokyo: This is the spot where the main character and his longing person dated. The uniquely shaped café in the museum impressive. It has always a good exhibition so you can enjoy both the structure and the exhibition.
Roppongi Hills: A building that was built by architects and designers from all over the world as the center of “the cultural city”. The main character and his longing person went to the observatory at the rooftop of this building. There are also many other fashionable stores in the building.

・The tour begins and ends in different locations. If you would like to change the location of where the tour ends, please consult with your tour guide.
・We have not included any particular lunch/dinner places in this tour, but you are welcome to stop for a break and eat whenever and wherever you like.
・The confectionery shop ""Taiyaki Wakaba"" is closed on Sundays. If any of the scheduled places are closed on the day you visit, your tour guide will take you to an alternative location.
・Since most of the movie locations are outdoors, it is recommended you start the tour in the morning during the winter period, as it gets dark early.
