Sample local food in the downtown streets of Akabane and Jujo.
Sure, you enjoy sushi and tempura, but why not try some local food since you have made it all the way to Japan? Jujo Ginza Shopping Street is known as "side dish heaven". This shopping street is one of the Three Major Ginza Shopping Districts, with over 200 shops and a great variety of side dishes. It is the prefect place to eat and walk! The ¥10 chicken balls are a must. Akabane Ichibangai Shopping Street is known for its shops that sell cheap alcohol. The shops became famous under the name "senbero" which stands for "getting drunk for ¥1,000"! These shops often seem hard to access without the help of locals, so that is where your otomo tour guide comes in handy!
