Visit the characterful temples, shrines and chapel in Ochanomizu.
Back in the Edo Period (1603-1868), Ochanomizu was an area where many samurai families lived. Samurai were people of the highest class and therefore scholarship and cultural activities were encouraged. This is the reason why there are so many traditional shrines and temples left in the Ochanomizu neighbourhood today. There is even a Holy Resurrection Cathedral. The sanctuaries have different characteristics, each with its own atmosphere; a temple always bustling with people, a little shrine with a spiritual vibe, a cathedral of the Orthodox Church in Japan, etc. Visit all the "Power Spots" in the Ochanomizu area to pray and receieve blessings.
・Visit an unusual chapel which has characteristics of Byzantine architecture, an architectural style unusual even in Europe.
